What is Proair®? What is it for?
Proair® (albuterol sulfate) is a bronchodilator that open the airways in your lungs to help you breathe easier. It is used to treat and prevent wheezing and/or shortness of breath caused by breathing problems such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It can also be used to treat and prevent exercise induced asthma.
Please talk to your doctor to get the correct way to use the Proair® inhaler and read the information packet that comes with your prescription. Be very careful to not puncture the inhaler. Keep it away from heat because the contents are under pressure and could burst. Avoid spraying in eyes during use. Store at room temperature.
Always carry the inhaler with you. Keep track of the dosage used (how many inhalations) is vital because an overdose of Proair® can be very dangerous and even fatal. Do not take more than prescribed by your doctor.
